Chill-N — Connected Operations Dashboard
A real-time operations dashboard giving Chill-N franchisees and corporate leadership full visibility into the status of liquid nitrogen ice cream machines across their Florida store network.
The Challenge
Chill-N needed a centralized way to monitor every ice cream machine across their franchise network in real time. Without it, identifying malfunctions or equipment running outside acceptable parameters meant waiting for a store call — by which time product quality had already suffered. Corporate leadership had no reliable picture of what was happening across the fleet.
Our Approach
Dan led product strategy and UX design for a dashboard that gave both franchisee and corporate views of the entire machine network. Color-coded status indicators made it immediately clear which machines were healthy, flagged, or down. The interface supported filtering by franchise or individual store location, and included time-series charts to visualize deviations from operating specifications — giving operators the data they needed to act fast, not just know something was wrong.
The Outcome
Chill-N now has a clear, reliable operational view of their entire machine fleet. The platform gave corporate leadership the infrastructure to scale confidently — and Chill-N has continued expanding their presence throughout the Southeastern United States.
